I've seen a lot of online cooking channels touch raw meat, then grab a bottle of spices or salt or a pepper grinder without washing their hands. If so many people feel comfortable doing that on camera, I'm sure plenty more are doing it and worse in their regular life. Contamination isn't just an OCD boogieman, ya'll.

My father once said me that he consumed a monitor lizard meat, I don't know how safe or unsafe it is. He told me lot of his childhood memories and often times has mentioned eating weird animal meats.. man my family consists of nothing but madlads and have some crazy stories to tell!

This is why I don't mess with meats I don't understand. I refuse to be the dummy that gets some random disease we all thought was extinct or start some new pandemic.

I guess it makes sense not to eat predator animals. As not only is it just kind of dangerous, but they'd probably be more likely to have infections that travel through the consumption of meat

One of many reasons I went vegetarian aside from the fact I don’t believe killing any animal for food can be humane or ethical- the diseases you can get from animals/meat is insane. My grandma was permanently crippled in part from eating a piece of meat that wasn’t quite cooked through enough, even tho she basically always took it well done or even burnt. Even if you take every precaution the cross contamination is so easy to miss. It’s just not worth it, especially now that basically every walmart has a vegetarian alternative that is basically the same price and experience as real meat.

I dn’t know about anyone else why would anyone eat bear meat me personally I stick to what I know n have been eat’n has of 2day chicken, steak, fish etc people really stop eat’n things that aren’t meant to be eaten well let’s see bear for instance turtles bugs etc I like to eat or try new foods but this is a big no no n if I cnt pronounce it, I won’t eat it.
