Telugu Desam Party MP Jayadev Galla, in his charge for the TDP in the no-confidence motion debate, reminded the Modi government of the broken promises that the BJP had made to Andhra Pradesh. He also spoke of how resources had been wrongly allocated between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana after their bifurcation and how Andhra, a state with a larger population, had been given lesser funds. He was speaking on the TDP's repeated requests for a special status package for the state. This caused a ruckus to break out between TDP MPs and TRS MPs from Telangana.
