Today I'm going to attempt to solve the Latest Puzzle from Hanayama, the UFO puzzle. This puzzle has a 4 out of 6 stars difficulty rating and with every Hana Puzzle, they are always pretty tricky. Check out the puzzle below.

This is the absolute best looking puzzle I've seen, both in terms of aesthetic design and mechanical simplicity. It looks like some alien artifact and, even when taking it apart, still seems entirely alien.

Damn, Hanayama always makes the coolest puzzles. The tolerances on the machining, the simple beauty of the puzzle before it's solved, the cleverness of the solutions. What a cool company.

I've had this puzzle for 3 years, and refused to look up the answer that whole time. I'd find it in my drawer every now and then and attempt it for 20 mins or so before giving up. I was stuck just like you were, convinced that you had to line it up inside so that it would slide apart. I finally caved today and looked up a hint. Once I knew it came out the front I was able to eventually get it. A bit mad at myself for getting on a one track way of thinking, and having to get a hint but I honestly don't think I would have ever solved it otherwise.

I'm glad it took you as long is it did I feel a bit vindicated now. Even a master like you had a tough time with it!

One day I was bored of watching the same YouTube videos. So I searched up puzzle videos, I found lotus puzzle and that’s how I got hooked onto your channel. I’ve been a fan of puzzles prior to your videos but watching your channel made it pretty darn official and I started collecting most of the ones you’ve shown 😄
