In this video, I'm going to show you how to remove shared files, from Google Drive. Open up Google Drive on your computer and sign in with your Google account details. Then from the left sidebar, select shared with me and here you will find suggested files and all the shared files with the original owner's name and date.

The menu shall also include all types of media files such as PDFs, sheets folders photos and more. All you have to do is glance over the list and then right click on a file you want to remove from Google Drive. Then select remove from the pop-up menu and you're good to go.

Just continue to do this with any of the files that you want to remove from Google Drive that have been shared with you and that is it. I hope you found this video helpful. Thank you for watching until next time. Peace.

Okay but the remove, rename, move, and show file locations are greyed out. So how the heck do I remove them?

This isn't working for me! - The option to "remove" or "move to trash" is simply not on the menu when I right click on shared files. It is only visible on the menu for other files.

So would that remove it just from your account & not the person that shared it with you right?

Can you answer my question? If i ever removed them from my "shared with me" are they still be able to access them or it will also remove from them?

This doesn't make sense.
You can only 'hide' the 'shared drives' but you cannot remove yourself from that owner's drive.
So basically, the owner of that drive will continue to have your email in his/her drive list.

Unless you send an email request to the drive owner to kick you off the drive.
