Build a $1000 Video Editing PC That Beats the Mac M2 Pro!

PC's or Macs can get expensive, so I wanted to challenge myself to create a $1000 PC that could be good for HEVC/H.264 but also RAW codecs. This is what I would say is the best budget video editing PC right now that you can build!

When I first started out, I followed a part list guide from a YouTuber (who will remain anonymous), and I regretted it. So I wanted to build out for you a build that will actually be good to get started with, but allow for an upgrade path.

Thanks for this build and showing how it performs. I have been looking at the AMD side for my new video editing / photo editing PC because they run more efficient than Intel but it is harder to find details like the codec stuff on the GPUs and maxing out the RAM etc. without going super deep into the weeds. Most videos are about Gaming PCs. I just saw that micro center has a Ryzen 7 9700X combo deal for $429 with the Gigabyte B650 mobo and 32 ram so only $30 more than the 7700X combo and it runs more efficient and is newer so I am thinking i will go with that as it seems like a great deal.

Looks like a great build. Only thing I wonder. It looks like your chosen GPU doesn't have NPU cores. I am more a photo guy don't know if NPU's also improve video processing significant. What I noticed during testing my fathers M2 macbook. When comparing it to my AMD laptop and PC with a NVidia GTX1660 Super. It is around 6-8 times as fast when processing RAW files in DXO PL6 with the best AI noise reduction. As I prefer Windows my next GPU will certainly have NPU cores.

Idk what to do, there like mac mini m4 and, as far as I know, it's realy good for editing and the price is just great, everyone says its working great in 4k even
But is 16 ram enough? And will it work better than pc for 1k?
