I had this very choice, but the nonpro 17" with the rtx3070 was 1449euro and the pro with rtx3060 was 1649euro. And keeping in mind that the pro has the better, but higher res screen - which would put the 3060 to its knees fast, i went with the nonpro 17". The panel is not the brightest, but I've never worked/played outdoors so no problem for me. Otherwise they are the same laptop.

Just so you know, the thing not told in this video is that there's like 4 possibles screen, the 4rth is rarer : 1080p/250nits/60% sRGB (NTSC 45%)/120Hz, 1080p/300nits/100% sRGB (NTSC 72%)/144Hz, 1080p/300nits/100% sRGB (NTSC 72%)/165Hz, 1080p/300nits/100% sRGB (NTSC 72%)/60Hz. The screen in the laptop is always specified so it's our choice, just have to buy the one with the screen we want but the price change 😅 some time it's better to take one with less ram and upgrade after or go for one with a CPU a little worse, and sometimes there are deals like rarely seen where you get one with the good specs or just need a little upgrade. The lenovo legion 5 non Pro is available in 15" and 17" so it's not always bigger than the Pro, the is available in 15" and 16" if I remember well. So for those who want a good screen like me verify the screen before thinking of not buying it.

I didn't actually know the non pro had a bigger screen or not technically bigger because the bezels are slightly bigger but you can tell it's a lot taller

Edit: I realize this is the larger model of the legion 5 and there is a smaller version

Just to clarify, Lenovo Legion 5 15ACH6H (not pro model 15" Legion 5) has several display types. Lenovo PSREF lists three of them. Can you compare 15ACH6H FHD IPS 300nits 100% sRGB 165Hz with this 16ACH6H ?

Thank you for your review. In my country the pro version cost 400€ more compared to the non pro knowing that they have the same specs except the screen which is low quality in the non pro version. I also guess that the battery is not the same the 15" has a 60w while others versions have 80w (17" and pro 16")

But still 400€ more for the same internal hardware with only improvement in the exteriors aspect is not really worth,

400€ is enough to get a new ram kit which you have to change anyway, perhaps a cooler pad and a good external screen which can be more useful then the original screen whatever the quality could be. I can go far and say why not buy a good thermal paste !

Got the 5 pro with a 3070 for 1389. Had to return the non pro version because the wifi card was dropping connection. The pro came with an intel wifi card

I have the Lenovo Legion 5 17ACH6H but i want to upgrade it with my 2, 5" ssd but it seems only some 15, 6" Legion 5 15 models have that capability. And that the 17" 2021 models have only 1 m.2 nvme 2242 slot that supports up to 512Gb and 1 m.2 nvme 2280 slot that supports up to 2Tb.
