Definitely a valuable information, lowers BP of elderly people who worries about various health issues of aging. A positive approach and understanding the curable and non curable difficulties and adjusting themselves to live along with them reduces the tension to a great extend. Thank you Sir.

Of course 9. The calm acceptance of one's age and a constant, small challenging of it works well too.

With increasing age the arteries loose their elasticity and normal cardiac output increases systolic blood pressure. Diastolic Blood pressure depends on the effect of catecholamines ( increase) and vasodilatators ( decrease) of sytolic and diastolic blood pressure.
The point is that in the case of to low blood pressure in patients with inelastic arteries taking blood pressure reducing medicaments, the risk of cerebral ischaemia ( insufficient oxygen ) ist equaly dangerous as is too high systolic pressure ( ischaemic stroke with devastating effects on cerebral function).
That is why good doctors avoid to prescribe anti- hypertensive agents
to old subjects with high systolic pressure.

Thank you for a very comprehensive video which I would definitely give a 9. I just turned 74 3 months ago and am feeling my age. I have always been active playing tennis, bike riding and walking but not so much in the past 5 years as my friends that I regularly shared my activities unfortunately have passed away . Now I only walk 2 miles every day for exercise. My Cardiologist has put me on a plethora of pills [ 5 ] , too many for my liking .since my BP has risen. I have the classic white coat syndrome, I have a BP machine at home which always reads much lower than when they take it. my last reading before my visit was 128 over 70, at the office they got 145 over 80.which he said was too high so the Metoprolol was increased from 50 mg to 100 and Losartan increased from 25 to 50 MG and 50 mg of Amlodipine 5MG...Potassium 10 MG and a water pill .I am suffering from side effects from these pills and my wife says I should get another Cardiologist. Maybe she is right !

I'm in my 70's and my BP is 96/ 64. My pulse is 43. When I was in my 20's my, BP was a consistent 110/70 with pulse of 46 120/80 when I was pregnant with a pulse of 50. So my question is does genetics play a major role. My mother who died at 92 had BP of 110/70 and pulse of 50 all of hef life.🤔

My father's Dr said not to change his blood pressure meds as at his age it would do more harm than good.
