Charges stayed against Niagara cop at direction of the crown

The trial of Niagara Constable Nathan Parker ended abruptly after the crown asked the court to stay the charges involved. Parker was charged after he was shot by another Niagara police officer. Phil Perkins has the story.

Nathan Parker should be in jail. He most certainly should not be carrying a gun and a badge. He supposedly has an extensive record of complaints of misconduct and excessive force. Fellow officers and even his own brother call him a bully and a very dangerous man. He has been accused of using steroids for years, which may explain some of his violent tendencies.

The Ontario public has absolutely no protection from violent Police. Obviously not all police are violent. It should not be difficult to remove police who break the laws they are paid to uphold.
