I've planted in tires, fill one tire with dirt and plant three potatoes, as the green tops grow, place another on top and fill around the green top. it will shoot off more feeder shoots as it grows, . when that reaches the top, it's time to harvest. remove the top tire and easy picking, then do the bottom tire.

I can't wait to see what the harvest looks like! I may do this next year to free up more room in my raised beds. I practice high density gardening (aka square foot gardening) and I grow a lot of produce in just 5 raised beds and a Greenstalk vertical garden. I would like to move my potatoes into some type of vertical potato garden (like this one you just made) if it works well. Thanks for making this video!
