The Easiest Fruit Tree You'll Ever Grow!

WARNING: In some climates strawberry guava can be extremely invasive, namely tropical regions such as Hawaii and southern Florida. In my context I am growing in a container, on a paved patio, in a desert climate where this couldn't spread if it even tried to!

I am slowly becoming the guava man as my obsession with guavas reaches new heights. The strawberry guava is quickly becoming my favorite with its laissez faire attitude and delicious fruit.
A few reasons why it’s so great:
1) It grows fast
2) It tolerates neglect
3) It’s absolutely delicious

Make sure to grow responsibility as these trees can easily become invasive

Guava leaves are super healthy they can also be used as tea. We even use them like herbs in cooking fish, it tastes so good. So many uses for leaves just look it up online

I have regular guava trees on my farm along with a few I grew from their seeds just for fun. Strawberry guava is invasive in Hawaii and a huge problem as it takes out native flora. I did a class at university going over invasive flora and animals in Hawaii esp flora and fauna and strawberry guava is bad. Just make sure to maintain and don't let it spread out.

This is a native brazilian plant we call "araçá"! My mom used to have a tree at her lake house, and we'd always have tons of the stuff to eat

These are delicious and they have the highest vitamin C content of most edible plants. I thrived on these when we had access to a tree

Could you do a tutorial to take care of it?

They’re invasive in a lot of our native Hawaiian forests, so often times people are able to find them fairly easy. I love making Waiawī (Strawberry Guava) jam ❤ probably the best way to have it imho.

they're really invasive where i live so i like to harvest them in the wild to keep them from spreading instead

Loquats are the most prolific fruit trees I’ve ever seen. This might be the 2nd or 3rd most prolific 😊

If you haven’t tried it, the fejole (a.k.a. pineapple guava…not a true guava) is AMAZING, and makes the best tasting jelly in the world.
