I SURVIVED!!! I took y'all along for the first week of medical school. We had an exam Friday, so it was a challenging first week. So happy to have finally begun this journey, but it's definitely going to be a long one!

I remember my first week of med school studying for hours on my living room floor because my furniture hasn’t come in yet 😅 but it passes by so fast. The days are long but the years are short. Don’t forget to enjoy the journey.

And yes girl. 2x speed changed my life ... I even watch my own YouTube videos at double speed 😂

Medical school, gym, and a youtuber. Girl, you’re an inspiration! Many medical students (and pre-meds) have snobby attitudes, but you seem so humble and genuine. Subbed :)

Last year of General Surgery residency here. Welcome to a brand new world. Remember, it’s a marathon, not a race. You will fall down, A LOT. But it is more about picking yourself back up again than it is about running the bloody thing, and seeing it through to the end.

Remember to make some time for fun in your medical school years, but the fun only comes after finishing all your work. Guilty fun is no fun, and with time what took you one hour to study will take you half an hour, and then 15 minutes, and then 5 minutes, it’s like any other skill, you’ll get good at it in the end.


Also I don’t mean this to be offensive in anyway, but hopefully as you learn more and more, you will eventually learn to take all the extra wackery they are trying to inject you with along with the real science and learn to form it into a giant ball, and then throw it in the trash where it belongs. By all means study it and get good grades in it and pass your exams, but as you increase your medical experience and advance in it in further years, and round with physicians and then hopefully start your residency in the speciality of your choice. You’ll remember my comment.

I LOVE how realistic everything is that you show! You don’t sugarcoat anything at all and really show how stressful it is, but you also show how it really is possible to get through it and figure everything out. LOVE LOVE LOVE❤️ Can’t wait for future vlogs☺️

I feel like you can’t “survive” in med school unless you’re REALLY passionate about becoming a doctor, which is why I’m worried about pursuing this path since I don’t feel very passionate about the healthcare field..

I'm 19 and a mom of a 8 month old. When my daughter was born her doctor asked me why I didn't want to become a doctor even after having my daughter and hearing from her lit my world.
