Omg you should definitely add more arrows on the throne to symbolize that alot of suitors are aiming for it and her, but Penelope is not afraid of them so she just sits there unbothered

One thing I love about this challenge is the axes are directly facing in a way all holes go straight towards the throne of Penelope, so if she is sat when they make the shot, she would kill herself as it’s her own challenge, she would rather die and live in the afterlife and meet ody there than even thinking of being with another man.. ody and Penelope are literally made for each other

Fun fact! Odysseus’ bow is enchanted by Athena so only he can string it, and for everyone else it’s either impossible or really hard, so Penelope did that so she could save time 🩷

this is such a deep song, because as the animation shows, if somebody COULD shoot through the axes, they would be killing penelope, giving the throne to telamachus

I would kill for an animatic where Odysseus shoots the arrow through the twelve axes straight into Antinous' throat. But the suitors all failing to shoot at Penelope is such a great and tragic visual all in of itself. Lovely work

Just some advice from an archer here! So your illustration (btw so awesome) shows the archer as right handed, but to show the arrow nocked correctly, you would need to have the arrow on the other side of the wood! Just a tip, awesome

Dawg the first part with a string is exactly what I would’ve done if I animated this, since I’ve been trying to get into animating. It looks great!
