for the lock widget, u can alternatively use button shortcuts so that the widget doesn't clutter the home screen and you can lock your screen even in apps. to do this go to settings-additional settings->full screen display->button shortcuts. from there i set it so that i can lock the screen by long pressing the back button. sadly, miui 12 doesn't seem to have double tap to lock screen unless you install a 3rd party launcher. i hope this helps.

Thank you this was a very helpful video but I'm still trying get my Xiaomi 10T to show a text with a picture in it. So far I can't get the MMS connected and working properly. Anyway I still love the phone.
