In this video I'll show how I moved my site from

On your old domain name, go to your
WordPress dashboard, click 'Plugins', and then
'Add New'.

Search for "WP clone".

Click 'Install Now' for the plugin "WP Clone by
WP Academy".

Click 'Activate plugin'.

You can access this plugin by clicking 'WP
clone' in the sidebar.

Click 'Create Backup'.

Click 'OK'.

The plugin has now made backup of your site as
a .zip file. Copy the link with the backup file
location.

Go to your new website domain, and also install
WP clone there (same procedure as before)

Access the plugin, and select 'Restore from
URL'.

Here, paste the URL that you copied before.

Check the checkbox that says 'I AGREE', and
click 'Restore from URL'.

Click 'OK'.

Done! You now have your website on the new
domain name.

I had tried 2 other plugins that didn't work. Then this one worked, and was soooo easy to migrate to a new site/host. The only thing that didn't work right was a table on the first page. I just copied the old one from the HTML tab, and then pasted it into the new site, and it looks perfect! THANK YOU!!

hi there, this seems like a quick and seamless solution. If I have created a test site on the same server eg. mywebsite is now copied to a subdomain at test.mywebsite, the permalinks for the changes that I have made on the test server all start with test, will this plugin update my live site with the changes I've made even if those links have a different url to the main site?

Whenever I use WP Clone, the new domain is automatically redirected to the one that I want to have cloned ie I have SiteA.com to be WP Cloned on new SiteB.com. After clicking "restore", SiteB.com is not SiteB.com with SiteA.com's content, it's literally just another SiteA.com, same SiteA.com domain too.

I don't know what happened, I NEVER had that kind of problem.

Thank you very much for this video. Quick (ignorant) question, what happen to all my plugins? do I have to re install them all on the new domain or the WP back up does that for me? I ask because most of the looks of my website depends on those plugins. Help please!
