Communicating underwater is challenging. Light and odors don’t travel well, but sound moves about four times faster in water than in air — which means marine mammals often use sounds to communicate. The most famous of these underwater vocalizations is undoubtedly the whale song. Stephanie Sardelis decodes the evocative melodies composed by the world’s largest mammals.

The sound they make is beautiful and scary at the same time, I can't listen to it when I'm alone it gives me goosebumps and makes my body shiver...it's kinda creepy.

This has nothing really to do with the video topic, but I like how the animator represent multiple types of sounds with different shapes, patterns or forms. Visualizing sound is hard, but this catched me off guard because most matched how I do it.

Whales and all underwater creatures are just too beautiful . I hope we can find an alternative route to live harmoniously together without disturbing their ecosystem. And learn to respect their their home.
