I was thinking about baleen before I fell asleep last night and ended up dreaming about wondering what the heck baleen even is. Then I woke up to this! Baleen is made of keratin right?

FYI when you read that corsets back in the day were made of whale bone, they’re actually referring to Baleen. They never used anything that wasn’t flexible. With the heat of the body baleen forms to it and makes a perfect mimic of the body so you’re fully supported.
