This time, I managed to get my hands on a copy of the Cthulhu mod along with a custom new Submarine, both of which will work together today to transform....and break the landscape of 4546B! Poor reaper, his home just got invaded by something that looks like a mosasaur and giant tentacles

Hey, those first two creatures in the creature mod you showed off are actually prehistoric animals that really existed! The first is an ammonite, and the second is a mosasaur! That said, ammonites never got nearly that big, but on occasion they would actually be larger than a person!

I dunno I just figured I’d share that lol

I think the colossal tentacles is the "Unkown Monstrosity" on the very bottom of the dead zone, the monster that was never implemented but still in the game where you only see a massive eye and your game crashes, it was like a creepypasta of the game

a similar mechanic like that tentacle animation was actually supposed to be in the game, it just wasn’t added due to performance issues

damn if only they updated that cthulhu mod, would be cool to randomly have an intelligent big boi do things throughout the game.

The cool thing about the void tentacles is that originally they wanted to make this an actual feature in when Subnautica was in development

I think with creatures like this Alterra will sell the planet to whoever is crazy enough to buy it even if it's for 5$





Plus: Can you imagine an alternaitve timeline where Ryley comes back from all of this stuff, shares the footage of the things he saw and Alterra just forgets about all the credits he owes them, and they give him free therapy sessions for the rest of his life.

Edit: Thanks for replying bacon! Did you know that in the return of the ancients (And this mod i think) You can go too the void and see the gargantuan leviathan? Also if you trigger the sunbeam event something special happens : )

What is your favorite biome to build your home base in? I have mini bases with supplies that pertain to that specific biome in every biome (including the dead zone, for the lols), but my home base is in the bulb/koosh zone! :)

I did the same in Below Zero, but I just live on an iceberg; Not as exciting.

Edit: It would be awesome if the tentacles could pull the Aurora under water, and you have a limited time to repair it before it goes underwater, then it would get a lot tougher to repair it, but if you don’t, the map continuously gets radiation
