Its called quality over quantity you cant put your fist through that plaster its easier with drywall plus then youd have to fix it

You’re doing it the wrong way!
That’s the most inefficient way to take down lath and plaster!

Step 1: you scrape all the plaster off the lath.

Step 2: now you gather up all the plaster off the floor and put it in the dumpster. Sweep the floor so now that is not slippery (safety first).

Step 3: you pry (not break) all the lath of the studs and make bundles out of it, you can use old phone wires from the house to tie the bundles, or bring your own twine.

Step 4: you could The bundles of lath outside by the curve and people will take it for Art work(Depends on your neighborhood.) Or you can just put it in the dumpster very neatly. Plus, you don’t have to worry about tripping over it or trying to gather laugh and plaster together, which is hell off the floor.
