Revisiting the LG G8x ThinQ (Dual Screen) Android Smartphone

As the unfortunate news of LG's departure from the mobile phone space hits, we revisit one of LG's G8x - one of the last slew of smartphones released by the Korean company.

Thinking about getting one of these. I just discovered LG with the V20. I am so disappointed that they are getting out of the phone business but it was something that I expected. They never got over the bad rep for the reboot issue. At least they didn't explode. Samsung somehow got over that.

That is sad that LG will discontinue their services with smartphones, I was searching for smartphones that help with multitasking and this phone and the LG V60 was recommended. Not many sellers have the G8x affordable or with the dual screen, so I hope I can try to find a good deal soon.

After the Android 12 update, there's now a noticeable feedback when doing a video call. The mic seems to be too sensitive and picks up the speaker sounds. So, don't update your device to Android 12 until they have a fix, which I don't think they will.

LG G8X ThinQ becomes the Premier audio phone to own then decides to get out of the phone biz. I absolutely have enjoyed this phone but, T-Mobile and everyone else wants 3G talk on phones to die so, now I'll be on the hunt for another 4G VoLTE phone. I will keep this LG G8X as my goto music player. What a shame.The truly good shit always seems to gets run down by the B.S. bells and whistles of the big boys (Samsung, iPhone and now Google). Thanks for the information - How is the finger scanner in comparison to Samsung S10+ Is it the same I find S10 sensor not good at all. I am used to the older sensors in the back of the LG phone

This phone legit scores higher than the Galaxy S10 and in some cases takes better pictures too.

The only gripe I have is the ugly camera cutout and somewhat thick chin. Besides that this phone is actually pretty great looking.
