I got my G8X last year on eBay in practically new condition, with the dual screen case included by the way, for like $120. These older LG flag ships are a crazy good deal nowadays. I use my G8X as my daily driver, and it works just fine in 2023.

Still impressed with the SoC in 2023. I don't own the G8X, but I do own the V50. Personally, I still bummed to see LG dropped the V50's pogo pin for the detachable Dual Screen case. That is a brilliant idea.

Got my lg g8x over 2 years ago. Mint condition for $175.00
Tried the Samsung A23 5g for on going updates it has. It was just lagging to much with only 64 internal storage. Also the 4gb ram on the A23 5g was not enough. Sim back in this great phone. Just going to stick with 1 to 2 year old flagships. No comparison at all on how much better the lg g8x is.

I got one just to have it in my collection for the palm gimmick, but for a little more go with a V60 you get the 865 SoC for 5G and up to Android 13 update. The Wing and Velvet may have the mid-range SoC, the 765, but are also 5G capable with up to Android 13 update. All these have dual screen support, with the V60 and Velvet getting pen support. My daily is the S20 Ultra (16GB RAM model), S23 Ultra, S22, and Z-Flip 4 while my secondary line uses The Wing or V60.

Very nice phone. However, the Android version isn't the greatest. Unfortunate to do not have anymore updates.

This was a great phone. I still have the second display but T mobile gave me a trade in deal with mine. This phone was a heavy hitter, my only thing I can think of I didn’t like was the speakers. They were a little weak. Not terrible but the earpiece speaker was nothing to holler about.
