The reason to use coarsely ground coffee for cold brew is not because it will or will not clog up your filter! I've heard this several time now. There are other ways to make cold brew where you can just use a regular filter and you'd still want to use coarse coffee. The main reason is because of how it affects the taste.
Otherwise great instructions - straight to the point!

I've been using a Toddy for well over 40 years. Mine doesn't even have a handle. I broke the carafe long ago, so I use a pitcher to drain it. Since I'm the only coffee drinker, I freeze about half the brew and keep the rest in a jar in the fridge. I will do a second brewing over the grounds, using one coffee-can full of water instead of 2 like the first one. I like French Market brand coffee with chicory, and just today, I tried it (2 TBS.) for butter coffee.

Seems cool. Genuine question though: what's the benefit of using a Toddy cold brew system, when I can just brew a regular pot of coffee and put it in the fridge?

Did you say that we can keep it in the fridge for two weeks?

I wish the brew container came with its own lid (reusable) rather than plastic wrap (disposable) needing to be used.

Curious what size on Encore Grinder you used for the grounds?

You're quite like Gordon Ramsay when you talk. I noticed that bouncing motion while you are speaking 😁.

Is 200 grams of coffee your using equivalent to the 12 oz bag of coffee recommended by Toddy? I've tried this a few times and can't seem to get the ratios right.

Stupid question, are the 200grams weighted in whole bean or ground?

Why would someone will buy this? Just immerse your coffee into literally any container then filter it with sieve or filters you use for drip coffee.
