Now do it in real life so we can compare the three

The actual runway length of an aircraft carrier is about 300 feet. The total length from tip to tip is about 1, 050 ft. The minimum takeoff distance for a 737 is around 2, 300ft. So the answer is niether

Both of them seem to be pretty unrealistic...

"I'm going to test which sim is more realistic". Proceeds to land a 737 on a carrier...

XP12 and MSFS combined together will be the best sim ever

Landing a 737 on a carrier isn't realistic in any respects

i like how theres just a random f22 on the carrier

The way the wings moved in X plane takes the win for me (and I'm a msfs player)

Testing physics by doing a totally unreal scenario 👍

Maybe mention that X-Plane uses a catapult system for anything on an aircraft carrier.

Was that the standard 737 because the zibo 737 is much more realistic than the standard one

Ah yes lets land airliners at an aircraft carrier to determine which simulator is more realistic 😀👍

For this experiment it would not work on a carrier. As in X-Plane any aircraft will be wielded to a catapult and will use the arresting cables to land.

Did anyone else notice the F-22 vertically submerged half into the carrier deck?

You should have used the Zibo 737 in X plane. It's the more realistic version of the default 737. Basically a free PMDG 737

Having the same wing span but different fuselage length will not perform the same? I can’t recall the exact difference but give it like 1 meter and that’s gonna be a weight difference and a CG difference, those planes need around 2.5k feet of runway at least, let’s not forget the thrust is always tried to be minimized and not maximized. The use of brakes is also never emphasized on manual braking until below a certain speed on roll out.

A carrier isn’t a realism measuring tool.

Use an identical runway, exactly the same conditions, same AIRCRAFT, exactly the same touchdown point, same auto brake settings, same Vref speed, same aircraft loading(seat for seat identical otherwise CG is wrong).

It isn’t so easy after all.

Just came to say that I love these series of shorts and the channel. 🙌🏻

Let's compare realism. We will land a 737 on a CARRIER

The x plane 737 is default but the msfs one is payware 😭😭😭

Lets compare physics realism by not using a realistic situation whatsoever.
