The riptide thing actually makes sense, because swimming through water creates resistance, so going through extra blocks of water would make you travel less far. You only need to be touching water to activate it, so of course being 1 block of water is gonna be better

For the trident tip it's because you have to go through the water as well as the blocks of air and water also takes more time and power to get through so it makes sense

I'm pretty sure the reason why the pillager is glowing is because the villagers are ringing the bell which highlights where each raider is. Eystreem, didn't you do a vid on the bell making every raider glow when rung?

The bucket trick is good, but if your late game and have shullker boxes then you can store a lot of water breathing potions easily. On the other hand, if you are early game the buckets is definitely the better option

For the trident thing, its probably the same height, but since you started lower, you end up lower. Just a theory.

The reason the riptide trident thing works is because you are deeper in the water therefore, the game counts the block(s) of water above you as part of the flying

You know why the trident riptide thing is umm lower when ur underwater than just 1 source of water? It's because if it's one block it's short and the deeper the lower because ur deep so it will have to go lower and if you don't dig up a 1 block tall hole and add some water it might've get you higher than just digging a 1 block tall hole with some water with it.

The Trident thing makes so much sense. The deeper the hole travelled through the water and that counts as a block more than one block of water will slow down your character.
