Greg still looks tough as nails and could Hammer down a dude twice as young as him I bet ! Plus he still has the same signature haircut and with those shades he wears to boot he still looks fly as can be !
I am 45 and still have his LJN rubber wrestling figure from the 80s ! Im glad Valentine is still alive and kicking when so many other legends left us too soon .

People don't mention Greg the Hammer when they talk about all time tough guys, probably because he wasn't in too many fights. But he would have been a handful, that's for sure.

I met the hammer at a wrestling event in the late 90s with the BBOW. I can definitely tell you that he has an extremely strong grip.

Greg did a great job as a wrestler because I hated him growing up. He was mostly a heel and believable. Fast forward 30 years and he's such a humble guy. I wish Greg nothing but the best of health and life. Awesome guy!

There's the story, from a number of shoot interviews, where Haku and Beefcake had a match and afterwards Beefer complained about Haku's stiff chops to one the agents.

Haku heard about it, I forget whether it was from another wrestler or the agent himself, stormed to the locker room and goozled Beefcake, shoved him up against the wall and wouldn't let go, despite a bunch of other wrestlers jumping in, trying to talk him down and pull him off of Beefcake. Someone ran out of the room and went to get Hulk Hogan, since Hogan was one of the guys that Haku deeply respected. Hogan ran in and talked Haku down. Allegedly Beefcake's face was purple when Haku finally released his grip.

It's interesting because at the end of the clip Hammer sort of admits that the Bulldogs were probably not potatoing Beefcake so much as they just worked stiff, which, Mick Foley can tell you how stiff Dynamite Kid's clothesline was. There are actually a number of stories like that, where Beefcake complained about another wrestler being stiff, or pissed someone off backstage because of his attitude, so I get the feeling that the issue might have been Beefcake thinking that he was untouchable because he was one of Hogan's buddies, so he could run his yap and not suffer any repercussions from the office.
