Did we spot the first part of a booster catch mechanism? Tell me your ideas!

Fun Fact: the wire is actually called safety wire. it's used as an indication that the bolt has lost torque and needs to be re-tightened. so if the wire is broken, the bolt needs to be checked. it's a standard aviation maintenance procedure.

When those pulleys are installed they will look tiny, but they aren't

Man, I grew up during the 80’s waiting for NASA to go back to the moon or try to go to Mars and this is super exciting and crazy to watch. Like him or not Elon has some serious stones.

29 Raptors in a single rocket. That is more than all of the raptors used in the testing campaign to date. Let that sink in.
Full throttle ignition will be just terrifying. 😱

Talking about SpaceX: *a lot has happened in the last 7 days*
Talking about Nasa: *a lot has happened in the last 12 months*

Love it

Not true Apollo 10 launched from Pad39B for some reason everyone always says every Apollo mission launched from 39A. That is false!

Pulley is "only" for the crane to stack starship on the booszer. Catching will probably need even bigger stuff.

The pulley might be for the Starship lifter crane.

SpaceX's progress is 100 times faster than governmental space organizations.

Scale up the Statue of Liberty and have her catch super heavy.

Well done with that analogy about independence and hope. Gave me goosebumps. What a crazy time we're living in.

Very nice statue of Liberty reference. Very positive coverage of the SLS. You all do very professional videos. Thanks.

I am always amazed by how professional this channel has come to look. I expect we will be seeing Felix covering space news for a long time yet.

This is going to make my life worthwhile! I would have watched the tv go flat, mobile, smart phones, space travel... such a golden era. It's all like a dream

Just imagine what will happen at Boca Chica in the time it will take to finish stacking SLS...

That would be the take up pulley for the catcher. (4 large cables, 4 hydraulic accumulators )

7:15 Nice touch: your little man is also working on the tower: at the right

Thank you so much for the update! We are all excited for the upcoming orbital flight. That will be quite monumental in that it will demonstrate all major new Starship components. There will be so much more to develop before the Luna and Mars missions, but the initial proof of concept will be done.

A new era of space travel is upon us, and I will be around to see it and hopefully be part of it. One of the few things going on right now that gives me hope and wonder!
