Why not just use the tape without the chalk? Seems like an unnecessary step. Does the chalk help the tape stick? Thank you for the video.

Thank you for this. Will tape actually "stick" to a chalk line? Or are you taping just under or above the chalk line?

A builder's chalk line puts down a nice straight line really fast.
