Blueberry looked so cute on the outside! Being within 30 minutes of a big city is very convenient (personal experience). The other house you showed 2+ hours out was cute, too! You will find just the right one for you! I believe when things fall through, it just paves the way for something better. Thanks for sharing the search with us! Excited about seeing more with you. Love and prayers from SC, Jane

Really enjoying the house hunting content but didn’t love the judgement around the ‘trailers’ in the neighbourhood. Seems a bit rich when you currently live in a van/trailer…

As a Canadian who lives in winter almost 5 months of the year, I would tell you to think really good before moving there. Winter is magical when you’re in it a few days a year but when you live in it for the whole season… it’s another story. You guys leave for long periods of time for your wonderful travels, we’ll your house can’t be left alone in winter! Frozen pipes, roof, deck, driveway to shovel…. And winter is expensive! Heating, winter tires, winter clothes… it’s a whole other ball game folks. And the cold gets to you after a while. We actually run away from it every chance we get to go on vacation in the sun 🥶
Food for thought so you can make a clear decision! Love your channel! Keep up the great work! Good luck with your house hunting! 😊

Colorado native here. I’ve lived in the mountains for years. Location is key! Keep in mind your driveway, sun exposure, commute, neighbors, grocery store, etc. so often people want to live in the mountains and don’t realize the time and work it takes to live there.Evergreen (lived there for years) doesn’t count as true mountain living. VERY expensive

I selfishly want you to travel internationally again. I miss your food tours. However, I hope you find what you’re looking for and enjoy the journey. Much love to you both.

If you guys end up spending a lot of time in the area my wife and I would love to take you out to dinner as a way to say thanks for all of the enjoyment we have gotten from watching your travel videos. You guys and the Adventures of A+K are my two favorite travel channels and we wish you the absolute best for your future!

When you do find the house you're really happy with. It would be well worth the money to have it professionally inspected, the drainfield, well, and complete structure. Don't forget to check on property taxes cost also.

There's nothing better than looking at land and houses because you want to, not because you have to. It becomes about the journey itself and learning your likes and dislikes.
Happy Hunting!

We lived on top of a mountain for three years and it has it’s ups and downs, but loved every minute of it! Good luck.

I'm excited you're house hunting! I'm not sure how much plane travel you plan on doing after you buy a house, but if it is going to continue at a similar pace, you might put extra consideration on the route to the Denver airport as part of your house location factors. I just know it can be very hard for my relatives who live in the Denver suburbs to get to the airport, and the more you go into the mountains, the greater the risk of snow, wildfires, smoke, or traffic blocking your ability to get to there within a predictable time, or at all.

I’m pretty darn proud of you two! Embracing a new season of life is often exciting, nerve wracking, surprising, and exhausting. But, so rewarding! You deserve to enjoy this next chapter. Thank you for taking us with you. I hope that the right home comes to you soon. ❤

In the UK at least, I would be a little concerned at a seller only looking for a cash deal. Involving a loan from a third party will force a reasonable level of due diligence before purchase which could throw up some interesting problems you might prefer to avoid.

6:47 "A little blueberry home with red accents was not necessarily what we had in mind."
Damn, we have very different ideas about what we want in a cabin! Finally some exterior paint that isn't boring! Just my opinion lol

Boulder Colorado, Mork and Mindy! If it's a cash deal only the sellers wants it's because he knows a purchaser will not be able to get a mortgage on it. That should set alarm bells ringing and warrant a full survey to be carried out by a professional Surveyor.

It took me 2 years with also taking a break from in that time I looked at 16 houses. All of them were foreclosure took the last house less amount of work and I got to move in and fix it as I go. Not bad at all and was in my budget. It’s my first and last home. It’s so peaceful I live 10 miles south of Bloomington Indiana

Put whippers at 12 o'clock and put cardboard under whipper to keep snow/ice off of windshield. If you have mechanical fan put cardboard over radiator to speed up warming.

On a cross country trip, my wife and I fell in love with Durango CO- we arrived on a bluebird Rocky Mountain day, put the top down in our car and drove into town to the historic narrow gauge railroad where there was a concert with several cowboy bands. You should check out SW Colorado for sure.
