So sad to see the Mirage demolition. They definitely want to open by 2027.

I'm used to construction in Vegas, but this seems to just be overkill. I'm a handicapped person who is limited by a scooter which only has a set amount of hours before it has to be charged. In the past, when I want to travel from Bellagio to Venetian or Wynn, I've had to travel on the west side of the strip and cross the strip down in front of the Mirage/Venetian. It is impossible to go up the east side past the Linq. There are homeless people sleeping in the elevators that I have to use with a scooter. Now it seems like it's going to be perilous to get the scooter down in front of the old Mirage. As much as I love Vegas, it really is no longer easy for disabled people to get around.

Great video. I have no faith in escalators in Vegas, as there is always one side (or both) that doesn't work. Cant imagine how that's gonna turn out. Cheers!

Great job Jeff, as usual. Wow that is a lot of construction all at once. I kind feel bad for people who visit now and it is their first time to Vegas. So much construction, and with no idea of what was there before it must leave new people baffled because it wouldn't be what they expected since I am sure advertisement flyers and websites are still showing "what it was", but no indication of "oops, sorry, under construction. Whatever you were expecting is no longer here", leaving them very confused. I feel like the Old Reds and the new restaurant going in next to it, then the little shop on the plaza, eventually getting to Horseshoe is a really bad design. It's cluttered and messy looking. Even when they take down the construction walls, it going to be messy looking. So a stroll down the strip right now is a stroll down lots of construction walls. How disappointing for first timers. Now F1 construction begins, sidewalks will be blocked, windows on the bridges will be putting up the "no, no, no, you can't see the race" covering, fences will be going up. I wonder why all this is going on at the same time? Strip isn't going to be very impressive looking now until after F1. I wonder why they didn't take some of the trees from Mirage and move them over to in front of the fountains? They might look better than the half dead, scraggly sickly looking trees F1 put back after they killed the beautiful trees that were there. The palm trees might look a little better. That was a lot of work to put this together Jeff. Appreciate you!

Tilman Fertitta is making a new resort casino? This is news out of the blue for me. Can't wait to see any pictures of what they are planning. I hope they include a diving board pool which could be a big plus for them since no other resort has one.
