Something that makes The Perfect Run even more frustrating: there is exactly one Star Bit in the entire level, right at the beginning. Assuming you don't use it to kill some enemies later on, this is intended to serve as an in-game death counter.

Number 1. Super Mario Bros. (NES) Level 1-1

I actually consider the cloudy section of Darker Side one of the more relaxing parts of that level. If you're careful you can avoid triggering the laser circle things and just use Cappy to destroy those spiky things, changing position if needed, so definitely not as hard as the rest of the level.

The Perfect Run in Super Mario Galaxy 2 took me an entire summer to beat! and it also made me nearly quit the game multiple times since I kept raging after dying at the last boomerang brothers part. Beating it was the best feeling in the world for me
