A needle breaking off in the patient would be the worst

no it hurts like hell actually...had a nurse actually do this to me once because she believed I was just a drug addict in search of drugs...this was shortly before being diagnosed with endometriosis

I went to a hospital in Tucson for severe pains in my pelvic area and I was crying the attendant person didn’t think it was real and after a while stabbed me like this and left a bruise so bad and big it was sore for a week.. they sent me home. I was admitted to the hospital 2 weeks later with a infectious growth as big as a apricot in my abdomen and was in hospital for two weeks!! I hate doctors who don’t care about people!!

i got a bunch of these when i was in the hospital having a ptsd flashback. i screamed and screamed and told people it felt like someone was hurting me. they didn't really give a shit, and were only concerned with knocking me out. i saw the head therapist of the crisis team they work with later on, and he said they never should have done that and don't know how to handle any crises that look even remotely like they're related to drugs or psychosis. i told them over and over I HAVE PTSD AND I AM HAVING A FLASHBACK and they did not care, just kept trying to stab me right in that area over and over. they kept me from seeing the needle.

I am a nurse with pretty decent injection techniques. Which involves a single motion, without switching hand/position for IM shots (so stabbing and pushing is one motion). This combined with gate control techniques is usually painless. It’s also so easy to do. What I have observed though, is that a lot of pharmacists are trained to use one position to stab, and often switch position for the push part. This results in a lot of microscopic cuts inside the muscle.

It sucks ass. I was 3 days without being able to sleep, autistic, and apparently experiencing psychosis. I had informed them I was 3 days sober from marijuana trying to quit cold turkey after using it for years. The nurse told me she was unaware of any family being present in the hospital with me, when my husband and his mother brought me to the ER. They isolated me from my husband, never brought him in with my pleading, told me he left me there, and admitted me for over a week in the psych ward. In order to calm me down they shot me just like that with Ativan.

I literally have a fear of going to the hospital for a more dire emergency, and being forced into the psych ward and forced to take pharmaceuticals. They literally extended my stay each time I disagreed to take medications and told me the day I was discharged if I stopped taking them I would die. I’m still alive though.

When I went to get my COVID shot, the doctor literally threw the needle into my arm like a dart, then had the audacity to say "oh there's just some blood" and wiped it away with a cotton before sending me on my way.

Being treated with such disregard and negligence during a vulnerable moment is absolutely horrifying. It's essential for healthcare professionals to prioritize patient well-being and provide proper care and understanding.

I bent a needle in my arm from how hard I was contracting my muscles when I was about 10. Took 3 nurses, my mom, and the doctor giving me the injection to hold me down to get it.

My Aunt became paralyzed from this exact injection. A sensory nerve was cut, yielding such extreme pain that ALL nerves in the area had to be removed - sensory and motor.

Ahh yes the Payday 2 reviving technique. Glad to see you can’t just jam a syringe into someone without the needle breaking.

"not that comfortable" has to be the biggest understatement. I saw that bended syringe holy fk

That is practically the same technique my last 2 vaccines were delivered with. I swear on my last one I saw the nurse wind up like a baseball pitcher.

I remember a nurse giving me a Injection like that and It hurt so bad I kicked her in the stomach and pulled the needle out and it was shorter then I remembered. Turns out she had stabbed it into my hip bone and I needed minor surgery so that they could get the piece out because it could rip open tissue. She was fired and I now got a small scar on my hip. So yeah dont stab it in like your Norman bates with a meat knife

You don't do that to a needle when injecting like dam it is not just the needle but imagine the pain the patient felt yeah i would probably sue that nurse. And make the doctor tell that nurse to pack up and deport or her liscence will be gone.
