Arduino Pro Micro Quick Look

Показать описание
In this video we take a short look at the Arduino Pro Micro. This is the smallest of the Arduinos, but it still packs a hefty punch.
The main chip is the ATmega 32U4, the same 16MHz powerhouse found in the Leonardo. The 32U4 also contains an internal USB transceiver, so no drivers are required. With the micro USB port on this little guy, no FTDI board is required, just plug it into your PC. Lots more details are revealed in the video.

2:20 unfortunately most of the cheap Chinese clones these days have a sub spec regulator that only supports 6v maximum. Not sure about when you made this video.

why nothing special? It can act as mouse or keyboard. It is very good feature to control PC from other device or remotely via infrared control.

At 3:00 you say that TX & RX also function as D0 & D1.

The board marking is TXO not TX0, and that this is saying that the pin is Transmitting Out.

Likewise, the board marking is RXI not RX1, and that this is saying that the pin is Receiving In.

The TXO pin can also function as D1.

The RXI pin can also function as D0.

Yeah, you're right that they can be had cheaper from China. I've got a couple coming on the slow boat - CDN $4.93 each.

More toys for the playroom... I mean workshop.

I just got me one of these today ...
Looking for a tutorial that teaches a total noob, how to make my PC think that this little fellow is a keyboard, so that I can build a small button box around it.

All I need is someone to explain what I need to do to make it work ... how to set at least one button up ... and then I will figure the rest out by myself.

I watched lots of "tutorials" today that did not tech me anything.
Your short one was the most helpful so far ... at least you "explained something" ... :)
In the "boards manager" I should select "Leonardo" when "playing" with this one? (could not find "Micro Pro")

It would be good as a breadboard experimenter. I use the Mini Pros a lot for there size (and cost). No usb though. I have a couple if Leo's, but have never cared for them due to there "twitchy-ness" at startup. They have always been odd on a robot or with servos on certain pins.

Very nice arduino board, super compact. One thing I would like to have on it is the AREF pin.

The only problem with this board, is the weak USB connection. It tore off while movingit around. Ordered another one and thinking of reinforcing it with hot glue.

So if I solder a USB male on it, will I be able to use it just like every Arduino with a USB port, or do I have to solder it on a specific place?

Thumbnail for this video, It's so priceless. Reminds me of a joke, where someone asked lady in Tailand, if it's true that all their men have tiny... Her answer was, Maybe small, but very strong! Secret is Tai chilis.
