Some of these cities are cheap, some affordable, and some relatively affordable if you know where to look, considering their iconic status! Where are you going first?

Since a lot of comments said that Rome is very expensive, I want to say that Rome is one of the cheapest cities in Europe if you are smart enough to avoid the many touristic bars and restaurants.
Here are a few tips:

- Read the menus beforehand. If you find spaghetti and meatball, fettuccine alfredo, or garlic bread AVOID THAT PLACE. These aren’t traditional italian dishes, nobody eats them nor knows how to make them.

- pasta costs between 8 and 14 euros on average. If it costs more than than that and you’re not at some Michelin restaurant, RUN AWAY.

- never go to the restaurants right next to important squares or monuments. They are the worst of the worst.

- bottled water costs 1 euro, an ice cream costs between 2 and 3.50 euros, a coffee costs between 0.90 cents and 1.50 euros. If they ask more than that, avoid it at all costs.

- The best neighborhoods to have dinner or a drink are Prati and Trastevere. You’re much less likely to find yourself in a touristic restaurants than going in the historical centre. And Prati is right next to St. Peter’s square.

- BEST WAY TO NOTICE A TOURISTIC RESTAURANT:
If there are waiters outside that try to get the people on the street to go in, YOU KNOW YOU SHOULDN’T GO THERE.

I’ll add my favourite restaurants, I tried them all and they are awesome to say the least : Cacio E Pepe, Sfrigolo, Cantine Cavour, Porto, La Pratolina, L’Archetto, Tonnarello, Sottosopra, Baylon Cafe, Osteria Da Fortunata (a bit more expensive but worth it), Il Sorpasso, Meridionale, Raf, Mimi e Coco.

Source: I was born, raised and still live in the center of Rome :)

Porto in Portugal is a brilliant budget option and all the main sights are in walking distance of each other saving money on transport

Dubrovnik isn't cheap at all... and with 11 Dollars you can buy a cup of coffee not more . Of course staying somewhere outside is cheap but if you want to stay IN the city and be able to visit restaurants every day you better take more money. I have been there many times & in recent years prices have risen in tourism.

Really Prague and Rome? Bucarest, Sarajevo, Sofia are way cheaper and yes, underrated

Your page seems to contradict itself. One video recommends a location, another video states it is overcrowded and not recommended.

I absolutely love Prague. I've been there about 100 times. Please stay away from those cafes by the Astronomical Clock however. They are a rip-off. 7 Euros for a beer when you can get one just around the corner for 3? Be wary of the cabs too. And never exchange money on the street with a stranger. They will offer you something that isn't even koruna. Be especially aware at Prague's many ATMs. They prey upon tourists at those locations. Guess that's good advice anywhere...

Somehow Sarajevo is an honorable mention and Rome and dubrovnik make the list? Another few low price recommendations: Zagreb, Ljubljana, Kotor, Prizren, Thessaloniki. Highly recommend.

Dubrovnik is the most expensive city in Croatia. You missed the point a little bit. There is a lot of beautiful coastal cities there that are beautiful as Dubrovnik, but a lot cheaper.

Totally agree with Prague. Affordable & one of the most beautiful cities I’ve visited. But how come Spain is not here? Italy has no business being in the top 10. As much as I love Italy, it’s actually an expensive destination especially Rome! And if you consider Turkey as Europe, then it should be here on this list as well. Georgia & Armenia are also budget-friendly destinations.

Plovdiv, Bulgaria? The oldest city in Europe, cultural capital for Europe in 2019, UNESCO heritage old town, Roman stadium, anthic theater, great food, wine...like really, Mojo? And for sure the cheapest option by far from all the mentioned above.

I would still add some cities: Vilnius (Lithuania), Warsaw (Poland), and Lviv (Ukraine). Dubrovnik isn't affordable at all, especially during summertime. About Spanish cities: last time I went to San Sebastián (close to the French border), this beautiful city was quite affordable. I don't know if it is still the case. From an American perspective, as you seem to present it, there is also Malta, where meals and shops are not expensive (Malta's issue is just... expensive accommodation). Perhaps it would have been good to mention Skopje or Ohrid (Macedonia)...
