The elf poreless is the 1st primer I've ever tried and I love it! I can literally see my skin smoothing out when I apply it and the nyx spray 1at base primer

And this is what I find so great and different about you than other beauty channels....I've likely watched hundreds of beauty videos and no one explained that it was important to match silicone primer with silicone foundation. You not only said that but you showed how to determine it as well. I've felt many primers haven't worked so well and differently (even tho I only had high end ones ) but I never knew why that might be . I only started wearing makeup when I was 40 so I've had to learn basically everything and have learned I have a lot of things about my eyes/skin that isn't as easy to work with such as hooded eyes/very dry skin/mixed under tones/very pale/sensitive etc so I've bought a lot of makeup that did not work for me...I'm in Canada so makeup is more expensive, you can only return to two stores here so I hate wasting money on products that are horrible. You will mention things like "if you have dry skin this won't work for you" but most other ppl kinda stick to their own features and discuss that. You know your stuff and it really comes across. I also didn't know that peachy eyes would look ok with a darker lip. It's so nice to see someone embrace their pale skin and not fake tan!

The Milani Prime Perfection primer (white packaging with a black lid) works well when it comes to keeping foundation on! Keeps my foundation on even when I’m outside in the GA. heat!

I genuinely love and appreciate the fact that you mention what ingredients do and don’t work with others, and which foundations to pair with which primers. I seriously could not figure out how to pair them beforehand, and always just experimented to figure out which worked best with which, but that was the best piece of advice you could have given. I like love the Elf primer I have extra dry skin and it works great on my face. And I myself recommend the Elf Primer.👍🏼

The elf primer is my all-time favorite! I have the greasiest complexion and with something like Smashbox or Porefessional I get about 4-5 hours before I'm shining like a disco ball. With the elf I get like 9-10! They just put out a "foundation glue" primer I'm dying to try!

I would love to see you redo this video on Drugstore Primers -- for 2021. There are new primers that have come on the market. I'm curious to know what you would think of Catrice Cosmetic's "Goodbye Pores" Primer, which is supposed to be a silicone free primer which rivals some more expensive primers on the market. I’m currently using the Maybelline primer, but not the clear one, I’m using the green correcting one. I like it a lot, I haven’t had any issue with being shiny at the end of the day, and I’m a grease pit. I also like the Milani primers as well, I’ve tried the clear, the peach, and the illuminating one. I was pleased with them all.

NYX Angel Veil is my jam, I don’t wear foundation and this stuff makes me look poreless, I’m pretty oily too, especially during that wonderful time of the month, I don’t notice it clogging my pores any more than usual ( my nose and chin get pretty clogged ) I highly recommend this ! I will say that you have to make sure you really work it into the skin if you do t out product over it because it may still look white on the skin, and I’m pretty pale too ! Hope this helps someone ! Love your videos Zabrena, definitely gunna give the Tru Blend one a shot !

I miss these videos!!! I also have oily skin and LOVE the Covergirl True Blend primer. I found it in a whim on sale at a discount store and it works so good. The ELF primers work well for my skin also.
When I'm in the market for a new drugstore concealer, foundation, primer etc I find your Best/Worst videos and make my list LOL They are seriously my fav 💖 Your just so thorough and you actually SHOW us wearing the products longer than just putting it on.

I have large pores, oily skin and bonus, live in Florida so it feels like finding a good primer is like finding the holy grail. I LOVED the elf primer with my Colorstay foundation, but due to some surgical scarring, I needed to change to the Kat Von D Lock It and I have not found a decent primer, yet. It's water based and the struggle is real.

I was hoping to see the NYX Angel Veil getting reviewed. I have heard it is a dupe for the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer which is the only one I will use. I have very oily skin too and the Hourglass primer actually does prolong the wear of my foundation and, while my oils still break through by lunchtime, somehow the primer has prevented the foundation from breaking down, which usually happens by then. For long days I wear the Estee Lauder Double Wear Light because I prefer a lighter weight foundation with coverage.

I love the ELF green color correcting primer. I think it is called the Tone Adjusting primer. I didn’t find it oily and it did help cover some redness.

Is there any way you could make a list on what category foundations (high end and drugstore) fall in...silicone, oil, water based and primers too...that would be amazing!! Love your channel, one of only a few I trust!!
