Examples and explanations for a course in ordinary differential equations.

In this video we give an example of a mixing or mixture problem involving a polluted lake with streams flowing in and out of it. This problem can be solved using either integrating factor method or separating variables.

It is separable because you can multiply both sides by dt and then take (.025-.0625x) and divide both sides. You'll end up with (1/.025-.0625x)dx=1(dt)
