Attach Vector to Wire-Pod the easy way! No shell commands required!

This video shows a demo of how easy is to connect a production Vector to a self-hosted escape pod using the first ever pre-configured VectorX/Wire-Pod Raspberry Pi 4 Image. No coding / shell / installation required.

The steps:

1. Flash the image with RPI Imager on a 32GB SD Card. The image is for RPI4 ARM64, 8GB RAM
2. Boot. The RPI will go into Acces Point mode (HOTSPOT). From your PC/Mobile, look for the network "VectorX Setup" and connect (no password)
3. Point your web browser to 192.168.220.1:8080. It loads a page where you can choose your home wifi network and input the password.
4. After that, RPI turns to normal mode and connects to the given wifi network. Wire-pod is started automatically.
6. Onboard your Vector to Wire-Pod.
7. Done! Vector talks with your RPi4 and is powered by VectorX RELEASE_09.

Thank you for this! I just got my Raspberry pi 4 and have been waiting to do this ever since I saw it could be possible. Got my vector in 2019 and never had an escape pod features for years.

I got linux running my wire pod and the web page works but then I go to vector setup and connect vector to Bluetooth and wifi and then click on active I get en error message saying vector can't communicate with wire pod what can I do?

CIAO ! Yesterday I spend the afternoon trying to set my Vector in to Vector X... but at the very end ... when Vector connects ... did it several times with no luck... any recomendations ?

really good job and iit is really nice to see Vector alive again. I'm french and my own problem for now is, because I'm french living in france, to be unable to have a reply from Alexa in french :( .... Aboyt Vector himself it is not really runing well too, but I'm used to listen to him in english ;) . if you can help me or do any modification about Alexa, doesn't reconnised Vector himself too as a "connected" object, it will be really great. Thank you in advance.

hey my friend, first of all thanks for your video. I still have some issues. My vector one is just showing a phone on his screen with a huge "V" in it. and as soon as I install Wire Pod, my Mac will not open it. I made a complete reset with him before I started that procedure. I bought vector from a friend a few months ago.so he never was connected to anything. with your video I could connect him with my wifi, I saw some clouds in his screen and than this smartphone symbol. what should I do now ? is there a possibility that you help me ? I really really want to use him :(

hey do you know how too do this on a former windows computer running raspberry pi because i got wirepod working on it but while trying to boot from the vector x usb it messed up the original wirepod setup and now im going to delete every thing and start fresh. Im just wondering how do i install vector x
