Upload Escape Pod OS 1.8 to Anki Vector for Wire-Pod

After installing Wire-Pod, the open source Escape Pod for the beloved Vector robot, that allows you to get away from Digital Dream Labs completely and for free, you will have to get the Escape Pod 1.8 firmware onto the robot. For that you have to get him into recovery reboot and write the new firmware onto him using Vector Web setup. This video shows how.

Yes, I know, this should be the second video, the first showing on how to install Wire-Pod onto a Raspberry Pi. But for that first my new RasPi had to arrive and this was the easier one, since I already had a working Wire-Pod instance. The Wire-Pod installation video will follow.

IMPORTANT: If you want to use the Python SDK, you will have to authenticate your Vector with it BEFORE you install the Escape Pod firmware!

"Cant't reach Digital Dream Labs. - The Vector App was unable to reach digital dream labs services. Please check your internet connection or log out and click Recover Account on the login screen then retry"
I'm getting this error Digital Dream Labs doesn't help. Please tell me what can I do.

Was anyone able to upload 1.8? The link in the video doesn’t exist anymore and all I can find is 1.6 online. I think 1.8 is required for wirepod.

I do everything as it is in the video and it doesn't update, it's annoying that manufacturers play with something that costs quite expensive for how little it does.

I followed all of the directions on here . I had to grab your escapepod link from your website. the link in your description was Null. Everything went good down to the escape download. It was successfully downloaded to the Vector, But....when the Vector rebooted. It showed a square box with a flashing V. I waited to see if it was still downloading. But it didn't change. I even tried rebooting it again...But still pops up with the square with a flashing V. Whats the issue? Did i need the Raspberry device somewhere to finish the download?
