Ingredients
1l chicken stock
1l water
2 eggs
4 tomatoes
2 onions
2 stalks celery
2 slices ham or bacon
2 spring onions
3 tablespoons cornflour paste
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
Black vinegar (optional)

i LOVE it! i've been making variations of this for years! i love adding 'purple sea weed' in it 紫菜 never tried it w/celery, but black vinegar+white pepper is the foundation of flavor i love!

Great recipe! If I make a big pot of this in advance, can I keep it in the fridge for a few days in terms of taste, or is it just better to make a smaller pot on the day?

I assume you'd be able to switch out the celery for a mustard green like bok choy or whatever.

That's not real tomato egg drop soup. You have to turn the broth tomatoey. The local places near me use either some ketchup or tomato paste into the egg drop broth. Then they add small pieces of tomato.
