Top 5 Rolling Stones 'Exile On Main St.' Riffs

As I recently acquired a new Telecaster, I wanted to try playing some Rolling Stones. Exile On Main Street is one of the so-called 'great albums' of theirs that I was less familiar with and I wanted to learn some songs from there.

I don’t know what’s up with “Let It Loose” but that progression makes me emotional. It quite literally makes me “let loose” any tears and/or pent-up feelings I might be carrying with me in the moment.

Man, you absolutely KILLED Ventilator Blues and then you just follow it up with what is arguably one of the most melodic riffs from one of the best ballads ever written (and also one of my personal favourite Stones songs)...well done as always!!!

When I first heard Exile, I hated it. The muddy production gave me a headache, i found Jagger's drawl irritating, and like many people i thought it was overly long and self indulgent.

Now I absolutely love it, primarily for those same reasons.
