10 GREAT GAMES YOU MISSED IN 2021 (Strategy, Tactics, Simulation, Management)

There were a bunch of fantastic games released in 2021, from Indie and AAA devs alike, and it's very easy to miss out on some of the great gems from such a densely packed year. In today's video, we take a look at some of the games that released in 2021 that I personally enjoyed, and that I feel did not get enough attention. I'm really amazed at this list. I've usually heard of all the games in these kind of lists, or the games are just really bad, but you really did it. I hadn't heard of most of these, and they all look worth considering.

gamedec was amazing, it was my step back into isometric gaming, gaming in general after a long siesta and it really did not disappoint in 2022

It's such a shame most of these are still in Early Access. I so often see these cool games, go over to buy and... oh, it's Early Access and like 50% of the content is still missing. Timberborn, Dorfromantik, etc. are all great games, but you run into that wall of no content after just a few hours of play. So you put the game away, and hope that maybe in a year or two you can come back to it, and actually have the many hours of fun you were promised... if you remember.

Good selection here, was looking for some interesting RTS games aside from Stellaris, CK3 and Age of Empires. Those games are everywhere lol.

Excellent list! The only choice I have a diverging opinion on is Honey, I Joined a Cult. It was, IMO, an extremely underwhelming game. It doesn't become apparent when you start playing but as it progresses, I came to realize it's simply devoid of interesting challenge and any "fun" I had soon crumbled under repetition and lack of meaningful options. Ultimately, it didn't have the depth needed to sustain my attention for more than 4-5 hours at best.

Highfleet is a game of the year for me, that's for sure. A not only this year.

And, by the way, Microprose is just a publisher here, it's been developed by a couple of Russian guys basically on their knees.
