I think this song is so emotional and tells you what guy's like this go through 😢 I read Barry wrote it and Robin shortened the verses? . They must be Elite if only 3 out of 100 get through . Where would you be If it wasn't for guy's like this putting their life on the line to protect the Country .. and everyone's Family's and everyone's Freedom from those that wish to destroy your way of life .. if only their was a way for everyone to live peacefully ..

Great great song and singer I listened to many many times! I had a friend I met at a service club when I was in the Army, great guy lost his letter and have since forgotten his name. Long time ago, 1964. Thanks D. brought back memories.
