As a Korean, Korea and Japan must set aside their differences and look to the future.
We must be allies and not enemies.
The only people who try to divide us are internet trolls. We know what countries they come from.
Japan/Korea unity!

Separately they are powerful but together, even China would fear them.

I am neither Japanese nor Korean, I just wanted to say how seeing you two people like this upset me as someone who loves both your people. In Turkey, we call both Korea and Japan our "sibling nations". You guys have fought each other I know, but that is not the end of it. Look at Europe as example. The Germans and Italians fought against the French and English, now they are allies, The British fought the longest war in history with France, now they are allies (and they came to France help when Germany invaded) America once fought a bloody war against the British to be independent, now USA and UK are best allies, look at all these countries, they all did very bad things to each other. They killed and tortured each other, but now they are friends and they help each other improve and get rich by doing trade and defence alliances.

Korea and Japan need each other. You are both very close to China, and China hates both of you. China wants to conquer Taiwan, Korea and Japan if they can. You need to stick together, put nationalism to one side, not saying don't take pride in your country! Opposite, take lots of pride in your country! But don't confuse pride with hating others. If your national identity is based on hating someone else, you will never become anything better. And while you are busy hating each other someone will grow in power and use it for their advantage.

Turkey is in a similar situation, we are surrounded by countries that hate us, and we hate them. To our West is Greece and other Balkan countries, most of them dislike or hate us, and we feel the same to them. To our east is Armenia and Iran, both of them hate us, to our south is arabs who hate us a lot, to our north is Russians who don't like us. We are circled in countries that hate us. If there wasn't so much dislike and hate between some of those countries, we could do a lot more trade, and improve each other, make each other rich, but because of this, we are destined to stay small and powerless. You may think Turkey is doing OK just look at our GDP and economy, we are going down. Greece has terrible economy, Armenia has terrible economy, Syria and Iraq are warzones, we could all be helping each other build stronger countries and become world powers but we won't, because we are too proud. Don't make our mistake. The only way to win is to unite.
Look at all the powerful countries in the world UNITED states of America, UNITED Kingdom, UNION of Soviet Socialist Republics, European UNION, UNITED nations.. you see a pattern here? If you are divided, if you keep grudges and be xenophobes, you will lose. Because the world doesn't work like that anymore. There are 3 options, 1. unite and become a unified world force. 2. don't unite and perish. 3. don't unite and become puppets of great powers (usa, china etc.) I know this comment alone is not going to change many people's mind, but please, just think rationally, you are smart people. Which fate do you want your country to have?

Like what a bunch of idiots.
Whether we fight or not fight,
Claiming that themselves are right,
Split into half or cooperate,
The one who gets profit is the “upper people”. You know what i mean, ”upper peoples”. We are just a game to them.

One of the current issues in South Korea is not about history and receiving Japanese apologies. We have received Japanese apolozies over 31 times since the 1960s, and received financial aids at the goverment level. The real problem is, the current ruling party, namely the Moon regime, has a philosophy reflecting the age of the 1980s. We call them "Juche-ideology-group." who graduated from university in the 1980s and born in the 1960s. They have a historical ideology that defines Japan and America as the enemy following the North Korean regime's idea. When you see international relations in South Korea, we never blame North Korea or China, but only blame on Japan's and America's imperialism although these nations turned their ruling system into a liberal democracy. I truly hope that victims, separated families, kidnaped South Korean and Japanese, war veterans prisoners (70 people still arrive) released from the North Korea regime and receive sincere apologies.

I am writing this because not every South Koreans hate Japan. There are people who believe, there is an active working of the ruling party's propaganda to enhance the anti-Japan movement. This is a shameful situation in South Korea. Because the media outlets reluctantly deal with this viewpoint, foreigners may have hard time to look through the situation.

Also, people who want to seek for Japanese science apologies toward comfort women, we still have such comfort women in China. All North Korean defectors are experience forced marriage and sexual slavery due to their illegal migrant status. Listen to their testimonies and lives less than the animals. History repeats itself and we have living comfort women across borderlands. Why South Korean government keeps silence about the matter? Why grassroots civil organizations who support for Anti-Japan movement, never mention about the living history? What a shame on you.

This anti-Japan sentiment is ideological propaganda, truely reflecting current issues in South Korea.

Korea: We will get rid of GSOMIA
Japan: We think that is a bad decision, but if you must.
Deadline arrives:
Korea:OK, we have decided to continue with GSOMIA, but don't think we'll let you off easy the next time!

Japan and South Korea can’t completely be a partner. We should break up with our relationship as soon as we can. What do both governments want to do?

What have to patch things up with this "South Korea" why? and how? If you want to stay stuck with grudge by all means it is your freedom, Japan cannot oppose your decision. But to play two face.... I am just so tired, I have been through thousands if not hundreds of post. And I am asking why?

Who will deal with an immature country that cannot keep its promises? The answer is clear.

Victimization incentives, as the world is moving more and more to the left of anti fascism or whatever that is. The public holds the victim as justice, like the saying of "No women can be an abuser" or "I feared for my life" or "My family is the victim", the last one was by some cops who shot a black dude 18 times. Does this proves enough that being victim is justice?
