Esaver Watt & Elon Musk: Scam or Legit? My Review. (2024)

People are searching for Esaver Watt scam (or Ewatt Saver) and Elon Musk alongside several purported reviews. They want to know if it's true or not. I rewrote this description in 2024. This is supposedly about an Esaver Watt electricity saving box that claims Elon Musk endorsed or created the product. In reality, Musk has nothing to do with any of this stuff. A fake Fox News article that I noticed in June 2023 claimed that this little device that's the size of a night light can save you up to 90% (90 percent) off of your electricity or utility bill. Talk about way too good to be true.

In the fake Fox News article, part of it read like the same template has been used in years past as the holidays were approaching. One paragraph about the scam read, "Ever since Esaver Watt and Elon Musk's story were featured on TV, and with cold weather here, it has skyrocketed in popularity and sold over 1.5 million units. To say thanks and help people prepare for high electric bills, he is still offering the **EXCLUSIVE DISCOUNT to all new customers, plus a 60-day guarantee!** But this is the last chance to get your hands on this incredible money saving device, as the Holidays approach they will sell out any day now." Again, I saw this in the month of June. The holidays were not approaching.

If you see this scam Fox News article that claims Elon Musk was holding the Esaver Watt device in his hand, that picture was doctored. It's not real. Musk has nothing to do with this, nor does Nikola Tesla, someone named Dorothy Smith, or anyone else that the story mentions.

In the scam story, Elon Musk supposedly said of the Esaver Watt device, "Do not pay your electric bill until you read this. As electricity prices continue to rise in California, I realize that not everyone can afford solar panels, so we wanted to come up with a way that EVERYONE can save tons of money on their electric bill. Hurry up and learn this trick before the power companies get their way and it's gone." Again, there is no "trick," nor does Musk have anything to do with this.

These supposed electricity-saving devices or boxes or whatever are the kinds of products that scammers market that are actually available for cheap on Amazon and other websites. The products don't actually say "Esaver Watt" on them. The brand name of the generic device keeps getting rebranded over and over again. For this iteration, it got rebranded again after the last name scammers came up with received too many negative search results from people who had exposed it as a scam.

I am an electrician, And the one thing that really points it out as a scam is that everyone has 2 phases that come into each household. 110 Volts on each phase and when you plug this device into a 110 volt outlet it is only covering one half of your electrical service. So that means even if it was legit you would only be effect one half your power supply. The other phase would still be the same. So the only way something like this would work, if it did, would require you to have one of these devices for each phase of your electricity. So totally a scam. In fact because it has a light on it, even though very small, it is costing you electricity. Thanks for doing this review.

Absolutely this works if you plug one of these in every single outlet in your house.Then you will have no place to plug in anything that uses electricity. Turning off your circuit breaker box has the same effect.

My mother in law just gave me one today! She bought enough to give every household in the family one! I keep trying to tell her to stop wasting her money but she doesn’t believe me! She’s really off the deep end with young living oils! She truly believes they can cure anything including cancer or my spinal cord injury!

I am really seeing a blitz of these ads. It probably is timed to coincide with the onset of cooler months so that electricity usage naturally falls so people will think there is a cut from last month's bill.

Thank you and I hope he can sue who ever is doing this if he finds out who they are. I looked at it because I seen his name and some people have not checked and ordered it but they are not cheap. Especially the elderly living on Social Security.
