Don't fall for this Power Saving Scam!

Have you seen these miracle ‘energy saver' devices advertised online and dismissed them as a scam? The way they’re advertised certainly seems sketchy. Believe it or not, the theory behind them is sound!
They’re still totally a scam though.

It felt like the video was missing a part... maybe opening the rest of them to see if any had a real capacitor (or trying to put a real one on it if not?) and testing to see if it would in fact offset whatever excess of inductive load an appliance would have, even if it wouldn't affecte the power bill

This video just felt a bit incomplete, it seemed to end awkwardly and I was expecting more background on the scam and the companies after opening the device up.

Seemed like you just were about to hit a deadline for your seasonic ad and just needed to make something real quick.

As someone that has never come across one of these before, you ripped past the entire premise of the scam device so fast I was left confused for the rest of the video. It doesn't help that the video is also just titled "I was SURE these were a scam" which makes it sound like it isn't actually a scam? The video feels like it's missing half of its content...

Capacitance compensation is done by professionals for business customers that are getting billed by power factor. You can't do capacitance compensation with some random capacitors. If the voltage and current is in sync it will just result in more power consumption even though it is not billed for home user.

Gonna be honest I do get the message of this video but it comes across more like a seasonic advert with some other subject thrown in. I get that the majority of the video is actually educational content but when its a short video without a lot of substance 2ish minutes out of 8 minutes feels like a lot
