Pro Power Saver Scam with Elon Musk, Explained

Beware of a Pro Power Saver scam with Elon Musk's image and likeness that claims he endorsed the product. An ad is showing up online in November 2022 and in recent weeks that showed Musk's face and said that he had endorsed the product. It's not true, and I checked scam-tracking websites and they said that no, this device is not going to save you 90% (90 percent) off of your electricity or utility bill.

I saw the Pro Power Saver scam with Elon Musk's fake endorsement online. It's on Twitter too. Several tweets I found said this: "Elon Musk's New Electricity Saving Invention Has Virginia Residents Saving Up to 90% Off Their Monthly Electric Bill. Electric Power Companies Are Demanding It Be Banned Immediately!" And they kept swapping out the state name whenever they wanted like, "Elon Musk's New Electricity Saving Invention Has California Residents Saving Up to 90% Off Their Monthly Electric Bill."

I also saw this fake Fox News article, which by the way Fox News never wrote this article and scammers were simply pretending to be Fox News, I saw this picture here that added the Pro Power Saver product into Elon Musk's hand which was all part of the scam. I did a reverse image search of the picture and he was never originally holding anything in his hand. Photoshop, plain and simple.

In this fake article, Elon Musk supposedly said of the Pro Power Saver scam, "Do not pay your electric bill until you read this. As electricity prices continue to rise in, I realize that not everyone can afford solar panels, so we wanted to come up with a way that EVERYONE can save tons of money on their electric bill. Hurry up and learn this trick before the power companies get their way and it's gone." Not a real quote. I highly recommend staying away from all of these scam pages.

I'm an engineer and was wondering how on Earth could the contraption work, because it makes NO SENSE AT ALL! I was also scammed on a vehicle during COVID-19, so I've learned to check YouTube for a video BECAUSE THERE'S ALWAYS A VIDEO ON EVERY SCAM GOING in this pay online time in history that we're in. Thanks.

Please tap the thumbs up button to like the video. That will tell Google and YouTube that my video has credibility, and that will help people avoid potential scams out there. Also, there's a "Thanks" button off to the right in the same row. Swipe your finger left or right on that row to find it. If any of you would like to tap "Thanks, " that would be awesome. Thanks so much for watching!

Thanks, I'm starting to check adds to see if they are AI generated nowadays.

The advertisements tend to target old folks. Most of us are on fixed incomes, I can't afford to waste my money on so-called money saving products. But this one almost got me. Thanks.

Hi Jordan, thank you for this video. As a mechanical engineer (Ford - retired), family members just like to pick my brain on various product claims that are surfacing the internet on a daily basis - thank you for "shedding the light" on this product which sadly enough is robbing vulnerable people of their hard earned money. May God bless you, Ciao, L (Veteran)

Thanks for you posting this scam warning. #1 I thought it was too good to be true. #2 I always check products for the possibility of scamming before ordering. It has saved me money and headaches.

I hate to say it but I bought into it myself and purchased 2 with a 3 year extended warranty. I think overall it cost me about 112 dollars. I wished I had seen this before I ordered these. It looked real and I fell hook line and sinker for it. Even if it saves just a few dollars a month over time it will add up to be worth it. I just hope that I get some return from these. Please thank you for showing me and next time I will do the research before buying anything from an add. Man I feel like kicking myself right now. Hope everyone stays safe and happy.

My parents bought a few of these and they actually seem to be working, they aren’t saving 90% but they are saving some. They’ve had them for 2 months and if they compare their power bills to the same month the year before and one month was $65 less and the other was about $73. They may not be exactly what they say but it seems to work for them or it could just be coincidence that they used less energy. Hard to be certain

I do not see how anyone who has even taken an elementary high school physics course could be fooled by such a scam. Besides, if energy could be that easily saved the technology would have been implemented many decades ago. It's totally bizarre.

It's my guess that the scammers will grab as much money as quickly as they can then quickly goto to some country where they cannot be prosecuted.

Thank you for posting. I was looking for the video of Elon Musk actually talking about this product. Of course, there isn’t one—but I at least found your video!

yeah i noticed online adds can flat out lie, give you pictures of items for sale that are completely different from what they send you, and there is no one to stop them.

As soon as I heard from this device's existence I thought it was a scam. It feels good to be right

Glad to make a little research and found your video. The product itself did gave me a huge suspicion especially when the description said 'made' by Elon Musk. As a person who orders online at Amazon (or anywhere else online), it's always safer to do some research before making a purchase.
