Ukraine war: Russia planning major new offensive in new year, says Kyiv

President Zelenskyy and Ukrainian defence chiefs told a UK newspaper that Moscow is planning a major push that could include a renewed attempt to take the capital Kyiv.

if russia concentrate those numbers of 200, 000 soldiers on a single place rather than distributing them like their first time then kiev is pretty well screwed, infact their counter offensive won't be in kiev itself but central ukraine where they want to cut off all the western supply routes hence diving ukraine and isolating eastern part of the country including kiev, this will put enormous pressure on ukrainian troops as they will either choose to redistribute their forces in the central part of ukraine or defend what they have plus Donbass, redistributing forces to the central part will leave Donbass and other liberated territories less defended not dedicating troops to central part will pose the greatest threat to their entire defence as western weapons supply routes will be cut off, , sincerely speaking ukraine will be stretched thin and odds will be against them
