What if Genshin Impact had a Murder Mystery? I tried to answer that question. I have finally uploaded the Inazuma version for this series!!! I hope you guys enjoy it as I tried my hardest to make this more interesting. Who would end up being the murderer and first victim??? I made this from the perspective from Shikanion Heizou as he’s the detective and will be the perfect protagonist for this scenario (It was originally going to be kazuha). I hope everyone enjoys Genshin Impact 2.8 so far!

I think it’s sayu, reason, since sayu is a ninja, she’s extremely quiet so she was able to eliminate yoimiya quickly. Sayu can also apply cryo to her dash. Which could be the reason why yoimiya’s ghost said “cold”. Ayaka is most likely working with sayu. Instead she is the one who slashed her brothers back. She claimed she went grocery shopping, when Thoma was already there.

I think it's Ayaka
1. Yoimiya mentioned "cold", her "body shaking too much" and "burned brightly". Ayaka's Ulti is a blizzard; when it's too cold, you get cold burns. Also, next to a firework place, any ice would melt (or even vaporize) fast and not leave traces
2. She's fast enough to sneak behind someone and Ayato trusts her sister enough to lower his guard
3. She said she was doing the groceries but didn't bring anything. Also, we find later Thoma with the groceries (he doesn't mention something along the lines of "Miss Kamisato was with me but she has just left" or "She came with me, but we split up")
4. She was the one handing the "tampered drink" to Ayato

Theory: Yoimiya died from a firework explosion, which is why she said "burned too brightly", but ayaka was there, trying to save her ("cold but not what i remember"), ayaka feeling guilty ran away, lying that she was "shopping for groceries"

I might be wrong tho lol

thinking there’s going to be 2 murderers like Liyue. if Ayato was attacked with a weapon and yoimiya wasn’t, I think there will be a second murderer. Personally I believe the murderer is Ayaka, and maybe Ayato is staging all the acts of him getting injured or fake poisioned, but we will have to wait and see.

I feel like it could be Ayaka, her alibi of her going shopping makes no sense since Thoma was shopping anyways. She also handed the drink which poisoned Ayato to him

I came up with a fun little theory that I don’t expect to be right at all at 7:00

Some of the letters in this message are out of place capitals, those beings A, O, M and I which could suggest that the name of the killer could have those letters in their names somewhere, those being either yae miko, Ayaka, Ayato and kokomi. However, the order that these letters are in matches the order that they first appear Kokomi’s name, sAngOnoMIya kokomi.

Chances are though that I’m massively overthinking this and am 99.99% gonna be wrong about it but it’s a fun idea ngl

So. I don't think Sara is the culprit even though Ayato's drink was poisoned. If it were Sara, then Heizou would have been poisoned as well since he also bought one. Which means the drink for Ayato must have been tampered with by either Itto, who wanted to get it for Ayato, or Ayaka, who gave the drink to Ayato.

Also, I saw another comment say this and I think it's a good point. Why would Ayaka be shopping for groceries if they have a househusband to do it for them? Heizou could just ask the shopkeeper to confirm Ayaka's alibi, but as of now, she seems the most suspicious.

But I don't think Ayaka killed Yoimiya. I don't think Yoimiya's killer and Ayato's attempted assassinator are one in the same.

I don't have enough info to pinpoint a good suspect for Yoimiya's killer, but we know they used their element. At the moment however, I think Yoimiya's killer was either Sayu or Itto.

i think it’s sayu because she’s a ninja, could escape the scene fast, and can also apply cyro with her dash which is way yoimiya felt so many emotions. If it is actually sayu, the ending could be something like yoimiya’s dead body being a somebody else and sayu was assigned to take them down, keeping the real yoimiya safe somewhere else. Also random clue, the messages from yoimiya’s ghost had random letters in capital letters (A, O, M, I) maybe it means something??

I think ayaka is part of the murder case or the assassination, however, not the true murderer. I think this because there are way too many red flags. She said she was getting groceries, however someone her status barely has time to go out, she didn’t bring any groceries back, and thoma never mentioned seeing ayaka on his way to the grocery store. Not to mention she was the one who gave her brother the “poisoned drink”. I think ayaka was either forced to cover up the true murderer, or is intentionally trying to throw everyone off.

In the Monstadt murder mystery, there was a lot of evidence that Barbara could’ve been the one behind jean’s death, however it was disproven and the real culprit was Mona. Mona was not someone I would suspect based on the lack of evidence until the end, but when her true motive was revealed, it made sense.

Same thing with the liyue murder mystery, we all thought childe wasn’t going to be the true culprit because it would’ve been to obvious it was him, since he was a fatui harbinger. Turns out it was him, it was just all a reverse psychology.

So I think ayaka isn’t the true murderer, but just a bait. Maybe Sayu, who is an anemo claymore with ninja skills, might have applied cryo onto her and killed off yoimiya, and probably targeted ayato too, since he described the culprit “all black” well ninjas are usually wearing all black right? And maybe ayato got away because sayu was a claymore holder, since claymore attacks are slower. Also when we take another look back at the scene in 0:55, there was a barrel behind yoimiya but in 1:34 there is no barrel. The only other reason the barrel moved was because it was not a barrel but a person, and the only one who could have shapeshifted was sayu.

The reason sayu couldve done this was because maybe yoimiya’s fireworks disturbed her sleep, making her annoyed or something.
Meanwhile she does work with the Yashiro Commission, and she probably got fed out with ayato sending her off to work when she just wants to sleep or do something to help her grow taller.
Ayaka mightve requested sayu to get rid of those two people for another reason that I don’t know.
