Acting Tips: How to Memorize Your Lines Completely

Actors! Are you ever worried you haven't memorized your lines completely? Maybe you just want a way to test your memorized dialogue to make sure it's rock solid? Use this card trick to make sure you never have to worry about your lines again before heading to set!

I picked up this memorization tip from Chambers Stevens, my first acting coach in LA when I started acting back in 2012. A decade later, and I still use it when I need to be ROCK SOLID in memorizing my lines for a role.

The technique is simple: Test your memorization by running your lines as you sort a deck of cards into its different suits. If you can sort the deck smoothly, without stopping, dropping a line, or messing up the sort, you can be 100% sure you've internalized your dialogue!
