Literally the best lightsaber toy ever. There were the more expensive ones that light up, but these ones fully retracted, were sturdy, and neatly clipped to your belt. I carried mine with me wherever haha

I believe Hasbro still manufactured the Phantom Menace style sabers all the way up till the early 2010’s (the Obi Wan ROTS saber was released around the early to mid 2010’s)

I’ve still got this one and the blue Anakin lightsaber. They still sold them in Disneyland for quite some time after the period you mentioned, as I got mine about 10 years after that.

Me and my brothers used to use ours so much that the blade had white marks on them, we still duel each other rarely though. They were the best lightsabers to duel with as a kid, sturdy and fun.

The originals were so much more sturdy for play tho. The smaller blades bent so easily and they broke fast. The originals hit harder too 💀💪

I had quite a few of these growing up. Red, green, and blue Qui-Gon, blue and red Anakin and purple Obi-Wan if I recall correctly. They were a blast

I had the purple Obi-Wan and the green Anakin lightsabers. But I do remember being 5-6 in 2005-2006 and having lightsaber duels with those with my brother! The only thing that would suck is if your fingers accidentally got hit, that would be the worst! Geez What a nostalgia trip

I had the entire collection of the 99-02 lightsabers. They made the hilts in all 3 blade colors. I actually broke my arm in an intense lightsaber fight with my cousin using those lightsabers

That was the best ever series/generation of "toy" sabers ever made, for their qualities in many different categories. I owned many and got the bruises to prove it, but the one you're holding was MINE when I was little. It really spoke to me and I felt like a sith lord every time I played with it lol.

Lots of good times on the back yard. My two brothers and I had these. One of each color. I had a blue quigon I believe. We also had the green anakin and red quigon.
About 2 years ago, the last of the three finally broke after years of smacking against stuff. We still have the hilt for the memories.
