Japanese people don’t necessarily love domestic cars; it's simply that they’re not well-off. It’s all about the price. Recently, even Chinese cars, which are geopolitically controversial, have become attractively priced, so more and more people are considering them. Personally, living in the heart of Tokyo, I don’t even need a car, but if I were to buy one, I’d probably only spend up to $5, 000. That’s about how affordable used domestic cars can be, IMO.
