Ken Ham vs Hugh Ross on creation, with me taking Ken Ham's side.

On my last livestream, I critique a conversation among Christians about cosmology, creationism, and the age of the earth. I take Ken Ham's side of the conversation, which I believe is more consistent with the reading of the Bible. Correction: I mixed up Eric Hovind with his dad, Kent.

This guy is irritating the way he keeps cutting off Dr Ross. Watch the full length video and Dr Ross makes very valuable points

Nothing better than watching Christians arguing with each other over the word day.

he is not putting science in front of god... he is reconciling interpretation of the written and created revelations..

Seeing Sean McDowell chilling next to Ken Ham nodding his head in agreement is blowing my mind.

Doug,
That's _Eric_ Hovind, Kent's son.

Wow. That was most entertaining. Young earth creationists continually blow my mind.

This video confirms that, if I had met Doug ten years ago, I would have hated his guts.

Another great job Doug. It's priceless when you play Christian fundamentalist advocate.

Hugh Ross is going to use the space time theorem to evangelize??? No wonder the youth is turning from Christianity to Godlessness. Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Hugh Ross is doing exactly the opposite of what the Bible teaches. 1Cor 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

There is no easy path from addiction to sobriety and there will no easy way from theism to atheism because theism satisfies more emotional modules.

One more comment.  These guys remind me of kids debating superman vs batman while neither can grasp that both are fictional and any subsequent justifications are gained purely from human imagination .

A funny remake that Hogh Ross has presupposition (though we all have), seems clear the Ken Ham has presuppositions big time according to his belief.

You said that this conversation would never have happened 100 years ago because we didn't know what we do now. I used to assume the same thing and that people were simply trying to fuse two inherently contradictory views about reality. But that is, in fact, incorrect. Christians have been talking about the idea of the days of Genesis being long periods of time at least since the time of the early church fathers. In watching a full debate between Ross and Hovind I saw that the Old Earth Creationist viewpoint has a lot of scriptural points in favor of it. Christians, and if I'm not mistaken, Jews before them, have always discussed the meaning of the days in creation and whether they are long time periods or not.

That Ken Ham is funny...

To believe that Bible or genesis resume the mind of God, especially if God is the whole Universe or some sort of a Creator...

I'm agnostic with deist / pantheist views and those Young Earth Creationnists are so funny trying to resume everything to Genesis and Adam and Eve, Noah and the flood occured 3000 to 4000 years ago...

At least that Hugh Ross is trying to bring some modern logic into something that has not much logic...

Even science evolve but not the fundamentalists YEC...

Thanks for your sarcastic comments on it... You truly nailed it around 33:13... All about keeping control on the next generations...

Science tells us what may have happen, that's why it changes . Dr. Ross makes it sound like there's no other way but this . Christianity does the same thing with " because the Bible says so " I love this thanks for posting this Doug .
